March marked a new record of intermodal units handled at MIS terminal of Montirone in the province of Brescia. 1576 units loaded and unloaded from the trains operated by MIS Open Network (the new Business Unit launched by MIS at the end of 2021 for the management and development of MTO – multimodal transport operator solutions). This is the best result recorded by this strategic infrastructure enabling competitive international rail links from Italy to Neitherland, Germany and the Benelux. Montirone is subject to continuous developments to increase its operational and storage capacity.
