Over a year since the launch of the intermodal service between the terminal of MIS Group in Montirone (BS) and the Rotterdam CRO terminal, the offering to connect one of Italy’s wealthiest provinces with the markets of Northern Europe and the UK is keeping momentum. MIS – Magli Intermodal Service, as an independent MTO, which can also rely on its direct presence at the destination through its own branch MIS Netherlands, offers three regular departures Round Trip with a loading capacity of 38 intermodal units (swap bodies, semi-trailers, tanks, and containers). Following recent tensions in the Red Sea and the consequent circumnavigation of large container vessels sailing from the Far East and India Sub Continent via the Cape of Good Hope, demand for transport along this strategic corridor is also increasing. MIS, with its ‘open network’ business unit, is already planning to double the service frequency. Tensions at international crossings boundaries and attention to transportation solutions with lower co2 emissions impact find their most effective and regular response in this offering.
